Sanibel Fishing Charter
Fishing Sanibel and Captiva islands has been exciting for most days. The Redfish have started to move out of my area, but the Snook have moved in the passes to replace them. The fishing has been like mid summer, with the bites in the morning and hot weather in the afternoon. Tarpon have been all around the beach and passes lately. Bites have been slow coming, 1 to 3 per trip. The new moon this week should get them in the pass and feeding. The Trout, Jacks and sharks are cooperating for family fun fishing.

February Has Been Great Fishing !
Feburary was a great month to be on the water and March looks to be as good or better. Lots of small trout, ladyfish and a few Redfish have been on the boat the last month. I have been fishing with a combination of artificials on jigs and shrimp under corks and cut bait. I have watched large sharks cruising the flats and channels, we caught a couple of big bull sharks during one of the warmer weeks. You can tell we are quickly moving into spring as there are quite a few gig turtles over the deeper grass flats. The white bait has moved in and out over the last few weeks. Soon the mackrel will move in to feed on the bait followed by more sharks and Tarpon. The Tarpon season will be starting early if the warm weather continues, My guess is early April for the Tarpon season, we will have to wait and see. Pick a date and call to book your next trip.

January brought its first cold front
January brought its first cold front and a 30 Deg. start for 4 brave anglers. I opened the cooler drain as always and filled up with ice and bottled water. At the dock after getting the shrimp in the well and rigging a few rods I walked on a slippery spot on the deck...ICE. The sheephead and a few flounder were still biting. The weather warmed to almost 65 deg by mid day with beautiful blue skys.

A great day for Red Fish !
December continues to be a good month for redfish like the ones caught by Howard . The Reds have been more active in the afternoon with the rising tide. In the mornings I have been targeting Mackrel, ladyfish and Pompano.

Sanibel Fishing Charter
Mackerel are off the beaches in big schools. I have been taking advantage of East winds that have the water flat calm on the gulf side to catch as many as you want. On the inside of Sanibel I have fished the flats for Redfish and the occasional flounder. Plan your trip and call today.

Snook and Trout in the Afternoon
August has been fun fishing between the rain clouds. The overcast days have dropped the water temperature into the mid 80's. When we are out the scattered clouds, the fish seem to turn on and bite. The clear hot days will take the shallow water on the flats up to 90 degrees or more slowing the bite.
The last 3 weeks have been Redfish days in the early morning and snook and Trout in the afternoon. one of my youngest anglers caught a nice inshore slam that included a 10 lb snook. At 7 years old, this angler is off to a incredible start.
